To ring in the fall season, the Hamlet of Highland will be home to the second annual HudsonFest Scarecrow Contest!  Awards will be given out for most original, most traditional, and most whimsical scarecrows.  The scarecrows will be on display in Highland throughout October with the "Best in Show" winner be awarded status as Grand Marshal in the town Halloween Parade!

Entries will be judged based on originality, design, creativity, color and durability.  In order to qualify, check out these rules:

• Scarecrows must be at least 4 feet and no more than 8 feet tall
• Scarecrows must be homemade - no rubber, plastic, or store-bought masks allowed (go green!)
• Scarecrows must be appropriate for all ages
• Scarecrows should be ready for any weather or conditions, so please no use of perishable items (pumpkins, etc).

Completed scarecrows need to be accompanied by an entry form, which can be filled out below.  Official judging will take place on site during HudsonFest from 1pm to 3pm.  All winners will be announced at HudsonFest on October 9th.
